Sweet Sketch Wednesday
Sketch 192
Sponsor: Milk ‘n Coffee Stamps
Hi
everyone! It’s Sharon here from cold,
wintery Michigan posting this week for the Sweet Sketch Wednesday
team. For those of you who are new to
this blog, we welcome you to the Sweet Sketch Wednesday Sketch Challenge! We are so happy to have you join us! And for those loyal followers of SSW, we
welcome you back and thank you for your support! You all are an inspiration to
us.
Well
they say that January is the coldest month here in Michigan but not this year.
Freaky weird temperatures as high as 60 degrees greeted us in January. And now
February is bringing in the frosty, freezing temps with snow and ice. Go
figure!
I’d
thought you all might like to see the frozen Great Lakes of Michigan. This
photo is of the Mackinaw Bridge which joins the lower and upper peninsulas of
Michigan and is also roughly the spot where Lake Michigan and Lake Huron
converge. It’s amazing that such large bodies of water freeze over. While we
may not like the cold weather, there is a lot of beauty in this state this
season – probably why we often refer to Michigan as the “winter wonderland”
this time of year.
Okay
now let’s get started by announcing the winners of last week’s challenge…..
The Grand
Prize Winner of Sketch #191 is:
Congratulations! Please email Torico, owner of Birdie Brown at:
to receive your 3 digital images.

Please include the names of the 3 images you would like.
Our Top

1. VICKIE O'DELL #4

3. CAROL DEE #19
Awesome

the sidebar and post it on your blog!
Now
here is this week’s fabulous Sketch 192…..
It’s
another great sketch this week by our own talented Assistant Sketch Designer, Sally Dube! We’re so lucky to have Sally creating these
wonderful sketches. Thank you Sally!
We also want to give a Get Well shout out to Arlana – we miss her terribly here at Sweet Sketch Wednesday! We’re thinking of you every week Arlana and hope your recovery is progressing!

Be
sure to check the rules for the challenge at the bottom of this post – we want
everyone to be eligible for the Grand Prize!
Our
fabulous sponsor this week is Milk ‘n Coffee Stamps! The
Grand Prize winner of this week’s challenge will receive three digi stamps from the Milk ‘n Coffee Shop – a terrific
prize! Now here’s a little info about the
artists behind these terrific images:
Milk ‘n CoffeeStamps is a digital image shop specializing in cute and girly images. There are
two people behind this shop, Esmeralda and Nathaza. We are best buddies from childhood
with a common thing that we love so much: drawing! What we try to do is draw various
styles that suit different kinds of tastes so a lot of people with different
styles can still play with our images for their cards.
Right now we
have eight talented DT ladies who always help us have fun together with our
weekly challenge at our challenge blog here. We also have a monthly colour
challenge at our main blog. You can check it here. It’s very nice to see a lot
of people join and have fun at our challenges.
In the future
we want to make more cute images that are loved and used happily by many
people.
Prize: Three digi stamps from the Milk ‘n Coffee online store
Thanks
Esmeralda and Nathaza for your generous prize package!
And
here’s what the Sweet Sketch Wednesday design Divas created
for your inspiration using Milk ‘n Coffee Stamps:

Heide from Heide D's Paperie
Nancy from Mulberry Station
Linda from Stampers Touch
Jeannie from Dragonfly Journeys
Sally from Sally's Window of Scraps

Sharon from Inklined To Stamp
We
hope these samples inspire you to create and join in our challenge this week.
Here
are the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge rules for

How delighted I was to see that my card was one of your Top 3! Thank you for that honor. I always enjoy seeing the cards by your design team each week. And once again, today, they are truly inspiring!
ReplyDeleteWonderful cards as samples! And yet another great sketch that I am hoping to have a chance to play with later in the week. Sharon being neighbors in WI I agree with the unusual weather. I think we are now catching up with some snow.
ReplyDeleteLovely cards again this week! Congrats to our winners! You are always awesome! Thanks so much for supporting SSW, playing along and leaving your sweet comments! Thank you, Milk 'n Coffee for your sponsorship this week! We love your images! Sally, your sketch is lovely. Sharon, thanks for your post this week and sharing your pics from Michigan. I can't imagine ski-dooing on a lake that large! But it's gorgeous to look at and certainly a winter wonderland!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Judi
Thank you for the great inspiration. Also, that photo is absolutely beautiful! We are having odd weather down south as well. We had 15 inches of snow on Christmas which is absolutely unheard of! I enjoy your challenges, thanks for the opportunity to play.
ReplyDeleteWonderful images from our Sponsor Milk 'n Coffee and great cards from all the DT!! The picture Sharon shared is so awesome - a Winter Wonderland!! We have had a mile winter in the North East but there is a storm in our forecast... we shall see if we get that 15" that are predicted.
ReplyDeleteHappy Crafting to you all!!
Sally
Beautiful cards ladies! Thank you for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteLove that picture-and I love the Mackinac Bridge! I don't know if it is because I remember crossing the straights in a car ferry all those years ago (we only did it once. I must have been about 6 or 7) or because when we have gone downstate for any reason, when we cross the bridge (northbound) we are HOME. Even thought we still have 190 miles to go! I love sitting in that little park in Mackinac City in the balmy evening in summer when the lights are on on the bridge and just watching traffic.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, thanks for the sketch and all the pretty pretties (card inspiration). Stay warm! More snow here today-big, fluffy 'lake effect' flakes just floating down!
Wonderful creations from the DT! Thanks for another great sketch and all the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI had a lot of fun with this one. Thanks for the sketch, and enjoy my card!
