This is Kathie  hosting this week for SWEET SKETCH WEDNESDAY, from the wonderful City Of Sails from Auckland New Zealand and we're in the middle of a very hot summer.    We've had totally amazing weather which is a contrast from last summers weather which was raining and windy.  Yesterday and today the temperature where we live was 35c at our home which is appropriately 96 F that's pretty warm for us as a lot of homes don't have Air Con here in 
New Zealand.  

I apologise for not commenting on your blogs and Sweet Sketch Wednesdays blog over the last month but we've been away on an amazing family holiday and I created my cards in advance.  Now I'm back and ready to start again for 2013.

Is It Spring Yet? Sweet Sketch Wednesday 190 and Floppy Latte




Has it been cold enough for everyone? 

This is Nancy hosting this week for SWEET SKETCH WEDNESDAY, from the bright sunny state of Arizona....    You would think that Arizona would be warm.  But that has not been the case lately.   It has been really, really cold here.  We had three nights with the temperatures down to 6 degrees and the days were only in the 20's. 
 I don't live in Phoenix, but they really has problems with their plant life and water lines when the temperatures get that low.  They have to cover everything up.  They had temperatures in the 20's at night which is not good for cactus and other plant life down there..   I live in Northern Arizona so it was actually alot colder here.
It is crazy because today the temperatures are in the mid 60's.  I didn't even wear a jacket today when I went out. 
For those of us that live in the northern hemisphere, I thought you might like it see a little taste of spring with this beautiful picture.  Just think, Spring will be here in a few short months.

One Sweet Challenge



 It's Wednesday which means a new challenge for you at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. We're so glad you're here, so sit back with a cup of tea and take a moment to read this post. Did you know January is Hot Tea Month? As much as I love my Starbucks latte, hot tea is my most favorite. I've gone to a local tea house for lunch and talk about fun! They serve pots of tea (over 40+ flavors) kept hot with a warmer as well as yummy lunch fare and desserts. The only problem was the dainty little tea cup like the one pictured above...one swallow and it's done!! And where's the big handle to hold on to like a mug?!!


Tea pots just keep getting cuter and cuter too. Having a niece and nephew-in-law who both work for Disney, I knew I had to share this adorable Mickey tea pot! Maybe on my next trip I'll pick myself up one!!!

As you can tell, I love to chat, but now let's get down to business.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday 188-89 and 
A Day for Daisies  

Welcome to Sweet Sketch Wednesday.  This is Judi posting for you again this week! I hope you are enjoying the New Year!  I love January...it's the perfect time for me to deep clean my house and purge things I don't need anymore even though I try to do that all year long.

 Well, we have some exciting news this week.   We would like to welcome our newest Design Team member, Holly Gwilliams.  We are thrilled to have her join us and look forward to having you enjoy her inspiration.

Hello, my name is Holly and I live in Yorkshire, UK, where it generally rains and does not much else, but that gives me plenty of time to sit indoors and craft. I have been making cards for about a year now. It started as something to keep me occupied while the hubby (or fiance as he was at the time) watched football (soccer to anyone in the US) and it became a bit of an obsession, so much so that my spare room is now my craft room and I no longer have to sit at the kitchen table.

My other hobbies include sewing (I run a little business making bags and make my own dresses when I can), tap dancing, following MotoGP and reading. I also hope to start studying for my history degree later this year, as well as doing some creative craft courses at my local college, but first I need to go on my honeymoon as I got married over Christmas.

I sometimes wonder how I find time to do all this, and see my friends, as by day I am a legal secretary too.

Crafting has become my passion and I am so excited to be a DT member for SSW.
