One Of Those Weeks

Have you ever had one of those weeks where you didn't think you would get everything done. Well, that was my week....so many things to create!!!

My daughter in law came over to help me with some invites that she needed. You'll never guess how many we are making? Well, it turned out to be 50. I was cutting forever and trying to match papers. She was also helping me with some other craft items I needed to finish. We stayed up until 4 a.m. She had a drink of water on the table and little did I realize I would spill it all over the sample I had made for my sketch site and also the invites. So you're getting the watered down version. Although I added a new card backing but it still looks a little sad.  This card is the last card on this post and is created with the Unity Stamp Row of Houses.

For the month of October I am the Guest Designer for My Cute Stamps.  To kick off my first week I created the first card  for my grandaughter's birthday. You will love this little princess!

My second card is for invites to my grandson's birthday pary. It was made with Joni's Inktegrity Digis. I love how the train set turned out.  I made 12 of these.

Because I had so many different cards to make I added a Double Take again this week. My invites were made with the double take...as I figured they would not work with the other sketch.

There are so many fun designs you can use from different stamp companys. We would like to see what you create with my sketch by using any stamps you may have. So come along and join in the fun. Invite your friends to play along too.

Our winner for Dustin Pike's Digis is Holly at Momiji She will be choosing three of her favorite images from Dustin's site. We would like to thank Dustin Pike at Doodle Dragon Studios for sponsoring us last week. He as such fun digis.

The winner for Digi Shack Is Dora with her lovely bird card.. Congratulations, Dora!

The winner for The Cutting Cafe Is Holly at Momiji..Congratulations, Hollie!

Contact Arlana Sweetberrydesigns@hotmail.com for further details on collecting your prize.

Our sponsor for this week is Dustin Pike at DoodleDragonStudios.com.

You will want to play along with any stamps you may have.  If your card is chosen as the winner for this week's challenge, you will have the opportunity to choose three digis from Dustin Pike's Doodle Dragon Studios site.

Below is an introduction from Dustin Pike and how he started his business.

I started DoodleDragonStudios after an email from a longtime friend told me my style would be perfect for digital stamps. I had no clue what they were so did some searching, drew a few, threw them on etsy and they sold out almost as fast as I could load them. Decided it'd be easier to have them on a site where they wouldn't sell out and that's how DoodleDragonStudios came to be...

As far as my style. I am a cartoon junkie, still pay for premium satellite TV just to get cartoon network Boomerang. AND I have the imagination of a 6 year old. I was influenced by Disney of course, but also Hannah Barbera, The smurfs, anything Jim Henson did, mainly Fraggle Rock, The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth. On PBS there was a show called "the Secret City" a drawing show hosted by Mark Kistler, he's still around and on the web www.draw3d.com. I learned so much from his show. I think I might have borrowed some of my look and style from him, mixing it with a little Disney, Henson and anything else I could throw in there...

For those that want some sweet fun and want to play along with any stamps they may have, here's what you need to do. If posting to an online gallery, please use Sweet Sketch along with each weeks number.

Let's Take a Double Take!

Are you just loving my new sponsors? I sure am. The winner for Inktegrity was Sue Morris with her Go Nuts card. Congratulations, Sue!

Check back next week for the Digi Shack winner.

This week we are having two sketches. The second sketch is called a Double Take. From time to time I may throw in a Double Take. A few of my designers this week have made more than one card to showcase. Our sponsor for the week is The Cutting Cafe. We made some fun cards with her images. Not all cards showcased are from The Cuting Cafe. We had lots of fun with our new images. The winner for this week will recieve 3 stamps sets of her choice from The Cutting Cafe.

Hello my name is Regina Easter. I have 4 wonderful children and an awesome supportive husband. I have for as long as I can remember loved all the aspects of creating things with paper and drawing. So it was only fitting that I decided to open up The Cutting Cafe' and I am loving every bit of this new venture. The Cutting Cafe' offers affordable Printable Stamps and Cutting Files. The Cutting Files which are basically just like templates are files that you Print out using your home printer, Cut, Assemble and then Embellish.....Very Easy.....The Cutting Files also come in the format where you can cut out the files using some of the latest Machine Cutters like the Pazzles Inspiration, Bosskut Gazelle and Cricut (with Scal software). The Printable Stamps are just that, images that are sent to you through email that you print out using your home printer. After the images are printed out, you can just color them in like you would any other stamped imaged...One great thing about the Printable Stamps and Cutting Files is that you no longer have to worry about finding space to store all of your stamps....You can keep them all in a folder in your computer and use over and over again.
