Sweet Sketch Wednesday #225 - Eureka Stamps

Hello, hello, hello and welcome to another Wednesday, and another sketch challenge.

Fairy Walk
Today our challenge is hosted by me, Holly, and what a sketch we have for you.

After having a glorious summer here in the UK, the weather has definitely turned, and September is turning out to be very cold, wet and windy.  I'm not complaining though, as that means lots of crafting time as I no longer feel the need to sit outside and soak up as much vitamin D as possible.
Archery
However, last weekend I did brave the weather (very wet, very cold and very windy) to go with my nieces, Pops and step-mother to Castle Howard and the Yorkshire Arboretum in North Yorkshire for a Wild About Wood event.  It was a great day, especially for the kids.  There was loads of activities, most of which were quite educational too.

We didn't have time to do every activity, but we did go on a Fairy Walk in the woods with a green woodland fairy.

Making Paper
My eldest niece, Georgia, also had a go at archery and even hit the bullseye!  I wanted to have a go but my fingers were so frozen I don't think I could have held the bow, and I didn't want showing up by my niece.

We had a look at some gorgeous birds of prey, dissected owl pellets to see what they eat, made a hotel for a Lacewing and a home for bumble bees.  We also baked bread on an open fire, made whistles and made some paper (a new hobby for me, once I get the kit).

Anyway, enough about me, I could talk forever about such an amazing day, shall we move onto the challenge and last weeks winners.

The winner of last week's challenge is:  ALLISON COPE #15

  13. Beautiful Creations from the DT. Thanks for the inspirations. I will have to say this sketch gave me a hard time. I was working on this off an on all weekend with putting bows and or flowers or both on the side of the card. but I think it turned out nicely.

  14. Wasn't sure I was going to be able to participate this week as I am away from home with limited internet access and limited resources. Pleased to say I completed my card and have just uploaded it. Will have a similar struggle next week but will do my best. Thanks for a great sketch.
